Collector stresses on care of planted saplings
Stressing that protection of saplings is more important than just planting them during the green drive, District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu asked officials to utilize the TS weather app to take care of plants
Kothagudem: Stressing that protection of saplings is more important than just planting them during the green drive, District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu asked officials to utilize the TS weather app to take care of plants.
At a review meeting with officers on Monday, Hanumanthu released pamphlets for the publicity of TS weather app. He said all officers should down load the app and know the conditions of the weather in the locations.
The Collector review the preparations for the launch of the fourth phase of Haritha Haram programme in the district. He underlined the importance of protection of sapling planted during the green drive. A Vanasevak is appointed for every 400 plants in the district, he added. He asked officials of departments to work in coordination to make the programme a grand success.
Every department has been given a set target to achieve during plantation drive. Joint Collector M.Ramkishan, Disrict Revenu Officer Kiran Kumar, District Rural Development Agency Project Director P Jagath kumar Reddy and other officers participated in the programme.
