Hamalis seek release of wage arrears

Khammam: All India Hamali Workers Federation General Secretary Paladagu Sudhakar here on Thursday demanded that the State government release the wage arrears to Hamalis working in Civil Supply Corporation as per the GO16 and Circle number 67 issued by the government.
A meeting was held with the representatives of Telangana Civil Supply Corporation Hamali Workers Union under the leadership of Govind Rao here at Centre of Indian Trade Union Office in Khammam.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhakar demanded that the government release the arrears to all Hamalis working at various stock points as per the G.O-16 and Circle number 67 issued by the State government.
He also demanded that the government increase the salaries for women sweepers working at various stock points Civil Supply Corporation along with allotting ESI facility to them.
CITU leaders Kalyanam Venkateshwarlu, Vishnu, M Anji Reddy and the representatives of the Telangana Civil Supply Corporation Hamali Workers’ Union Srinivas, B Venkanna, B Lingaiah, Ramesh, Naga Malleshwar Rao were present at the meeting..
