Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced that sufficient funds and land would be allocated for construction of ‘self-respect building complexes’ (Aatma Gaurava Bhavans) in Hyderabad for all castes in Telangana. He said for the purposes lands have been identified at Kokapet, Ghatkesar, Medpally, Medchal, Abdullapurmet, Injapur and others.
The CM held a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday on the subject of allotting lands to different castes in Hyderabad. Ministers Eatala Rajender, Jogu Ramanna, Jagadish Reddy, Chandulal, Indrakaran Reddy, MP Vinod, Chief Secretary SK Joshi and senior officers participated in the meeting. The review meeting examined appeals in this regard by various castes. “Backward Classes in Telangana are a majority and in large numbers.
They are, however, backward in social, educational and financial areas. The government has been taking several measures for their development. In addition to this, the State government will construct buildings in Hyderabad for every caste. For this purpose, the required lands have been already identified and procured. Necessary funds have been kept ready,” the CM said. At an estimated expenditure of Rs 10 crore and in 10 acres, an Atma Gaurava Bhavan complex would be constructed benefitting 36 nomad castes, he said.
Necessary arrangements will be made in these building complex for the development and advancement of all castes. In addition to performing marriages, the building would focus as a centre of excellence for educational and cultural activities, the Chief Minister said.
“For all BC castes in the State including the Budaga Jangala caste of the SCs and the Yerukala caste of the STs will also be allotted land and funds will be allocated for construction of building there. It is for the first time such building complexes are coming-up anywhere in the country. Telangana is a role model not only for its communal harmony but also for social consciousness. Already lands have been allotted for buildings for some castes and orders have been issued. For other caste also land and funds now will be allotted,” he said.
Munnuru Kapus will be allotted five acres and Rs 5 crore, Dudekula three acres and Rs 3 crore, Gangaputras two acres and Rs 2 crore, Viswa Karma 2 acres and Rs 2 crores, Nayi Brahmins one acre and Rs 1 crore and half acre land and Rs 50 lakh each to Arey Kshatriyas, Vaddera, Kummari, Yerukala, Uppara, Mera, Budiga Jangala, Medhara, Perika, Chathada, Srivysnava, Katika and Bhatraj, announced the Chief Minister.
