Hyderabad: Six students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions (TSWREIS) flew to Nepal on Monday for 6 weeks International Internship Programme in connection with Association Internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales (AIESEC), a non-governmental and non-profit organization. Under International Internship Program, 27 students have been thoroughly selected through exams, and personal interviews based on the students’ communication skills, confidence, planning and interest.

The duration of the internship is approximately around 6 weeks. Eight students went to Cambodia and Sri Lanka, two to Vietnam, and six to Nepal, among which some have already returned. There are three students who will be going to Poland in the month of September as well.

The students who went to Nepal are namely Haritha Kombattini, MounicaVelpula, Neelima Lagishetty, Neelima Mogili, Sandhya Rani and Yesamma Medi coming from various parts of Telangana State. Speaking to one of the students who went to Nepal, Yesamma from Kothagudem Social Welfare Degree College said that “my project is about teaching every child particularly those in public school to read, write and understand basic level of English and I will use my best of capabilities to ensure that it is a mutual way of learning by using interesting and creative methods of teaching”. There are various projects like “women empowerment, teaching orphan kids and enlightening old age people about bettering their lives”.

Another 2nd year student of Siddipet College, who also went to Nepal thanked TSWREIS for taking this initiative of sending students abroad and for making them get an international outlook and contribute their part in addressing the needs of society.

As for the parents who came to drop their daughters, they said that it is a proud moment for them and they grab this opportunity to sincerely thank Praveen and the team of Higher Education of TSWREIS along with AIESEC for providing this International platform for their daughters to expand their potentiality.

The Higher Education Cell recently established is extending a huge support for the students of TSWREIS and offering a humongous arena for them to explore their skills and talent.
