Hyderabad: TRS leaders from Karimnagar, including ZPTCs and others, have urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao not to give ticket to Choppadandi MLA Bodige Shobha, alleging that she was insulting the public representatives and working against the interests of the party.

The TRS leaders from the district met the Chief Minister on Wednesday. The leaders demanded action against Shobha, citing various reasons. The leaders said Shobha was foisting cases under SC, ST Atrocities Act against the poor people and causing inconvenience to them.

“She is causing loss to the party with her selfish attitude... she is not taking the local TRS leaders along with her in the development works. She is not even taking the local public representatives into consideration. She has created her own army in the name of SGS and terrorising the people and other public representatives,” said the TRS leaders.

The leaders further alleged that the MLA skipped swearing-in ceremony of Market Committee members. The leaders recalled that when the market committee chairperson G Sumalatha and her husband attended an official programme, the MLA insulted them in the presence of Ministers, MPs and others.

The leaders, who met the Chief minister include ZPTCs E Sambaiah, Veerla Kavitha, Akula Srilata, Prashanti, Lachi Reddy. MPPs Bala Goud, Madhav, Kishta Reddy, Swarnalatha, Choppadandi Market Committee Chairperson G Sumalatha, Malyaala Market Committee Chairperson Lakshmi, District Library chairman E Ravinder Reddy, DCMS Chairman Surender Reddy and other important leaders.
