Malkajgiri: The contract/outsourcing workers of Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) working in Malkajgiri and Alwal municipal limits have been boycotting duty since the midnight of Tuesday demanding the regularisation of services and increased wages. They also struck work protesting in front of the office main gate.
Congress leaders Nandikanti Sridhar, Malkajgiri in-charge, Kavati Srinivas Yadav, Neredmet division president, Sanadi Shankar, and ‘Telangana Asangatitha Karmika Sanghala Samakya’ Medchal district and state leaders expressed their support to the workers. Among the leaders who participated in the protest programmes were Gopinath, C Narender, Eshwaraiah, Anjaneyulu, Prasad, Mahesh, Ashok, Nagaraju.
