Lorry hits bike, one killed

Kodangal: One person was killed in a road accident at Ravala Pally village of Kodangal mandal on the Kodangal Yadgir Highway on Thursday. According to Kodangal police, two persons who were riding a bike were hit by a speeding lorry near Ravalapally village on the Yadgir-Kodangal highway, due to which both the persons were severely injured.

The injured persons were identified to be Bheemulu (35) of Ravalapally, working as filed assistant and the other person is identified to be Ramu (38). Both the candidates were severely injured and were shifted to Kodangal government hospital.

After reaching the hospital Ramu succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. However, the relatives of Ramu are alleging that he died because of the doctor’s negligence. “The doctors in Kodangal hospital were not present and if any emergency case comes here there is no one to give proper treatment or guide the relatives properly about the medical care and treatment.

Had anyone told us to take Ramu to other hospitals we would have saved his life. We demand government should take action against the lethargic and careless medical staff in the hospital,” said the agitating relatives.
