Narayankhed: Unidentified burglars attempted to loot Tata India number one ATM located at Basaweshwar Chowk here on Wednesday night. Thieves tried to break into the ATM machine using gas welding tools but fled the scene when some locals gathered at ATM on hearing sounds from ATM room.
On receiving the information, police clues team arrived at the scene and conducted preliminary investigation. However, there is no information about the amount of cash looted from ATM. A case has been registered and is being investigated. With the regular ATM burglaries, people have been demanding increased patrolling during nights.
