Siddipet: District Collector Krishna Bhaskar suggested the nodal officer to ensure elections in free environment. He reviewed a meeting on conduct of elections with nodal officers, here at integrated collectorate complex on Monday.
He appointed 17 special officers for manpower management, management of EVMs, transport, training, observers for election code, expenditure, surveillance, law and order etc. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that every officer should go through the election manual thoroughly. He told them to select a model polling station from each mandal.
He said that all the steps have been taken to observe paid news, advertisements. A team of two including tahasildar will create awareness on implementing the election code to all nodal officers, the collector said. Joint Collector Padmakar, DRO Chandrasekhar, RDOs of Siddipet and Husnabad Jayachandra Reddy, Anant Reddy, election superintends Ramachandram and officers for various departments were present.
