Awareness meetings on EVMs to be held

Vikarabad: To create awareness on the use of EVMs and VVPATs, meetings and mock polling would be held at four constituencies of the district, Collector Syed Umer Jaleel said. For this purpose, 40 EVMS and VVVPATs were sent to the four constituencies (10 each) in forty vehicles. District Collector, along with freedom fighter Narayana Swamy, flagged off the vehicles here on Thursday.
These meetings will be conducted for 10 days. As part of awareness meetings, mock polls will be conducted at two villages each day, collector said. Voters can clarify their doubts on the voting machines during the meeting, collector said.
