Khammam: The Poru Yatra which had started on October 1 from Osmania University by the representatives of the ‘Osmania and Kakatiya University Joint Action Committee’ (OU and KU JAC) to impress upon the government to solve various issues of students, reached Khammam on Thursday.

On the occasion, a meeting was organised under the leadership of TVV district Convenor Nukala Swathi in front of the District Central Library at Mayuri Centre.

Addressing the meeting, Telangana Vidhyarthi Vedika (TVV) general secretary M Sandeep said that the TRS government in its four and half years rule had done nothing for the students and unemployed youth.

“Lots of injustice is done to the students during the TRS rule in the State. Instead of allotting hostel facilities to them, they have been forced to stay in rented houses and private hostels for completing their higher studies thus spending huge amounts on their studies,” he added.

The TRS party betrayed students and unemployed youth. Before going to polls, the party had promised them they it would provide more than one lakh employment opportunities, but had done nothing. Instead of filling teachers’ posts, the TRS party allotted buffaloes and sheep to them to drive their future into the dark, he added.

The TRS party is playing with the lives of the students and unemployed youth. If the TRS leaders are going to come to any village seeking votes, they will be taught fitting lesson for not fulfilling the promises of free education and not providing employment opportunities, he warned.

The leaders of various students unions Azad (PDSU), Nagaraju (SFI), Venkat (CRPP) and Prabakara Chary (TPF) extended their support to Poru Yatra.

The TVV State president Vijay, Babu Rao, Satish, Janardhan, Mohan Rao Sunotha, Ajitha, Nani, Nagendra, Rakesh, Rambabu, Srivani, Nikila and Mahendra were present on the occasion.
