Huzurnagar(Suryapet): The cashier of Andhra Bank is said to have stole Rs 58 Lakhs from the ATM whose pin is with him. The incident took place in Huzurngar branch of Suryapet district. The bank officials lodged a complaint against the accused with the police on Saturday night.

According to sources, accused Gangadara Ramakrishna is working as a cashier in Andhra Bank at Huzurnagar branch. Apart from his regular duties, he is also holding charge of ATM deposit machine.

The bank officials said that Ramakrishna had not been coming to office on the pretext of having fever. The bank officials could not upload money in machine as Ramakrishna had told the officials that he had forgotten the pin.

Suspecting ill motive in this episode, the bank officials contacted his family members to get information about him. They said that Ramakrishna had not been coming to home since last three days.

The official opened the bank ATM in the presence of Ramakrishna family members and found Rs 58,39,200 missing from the deposited money. The shocked bank officials informed the same to superiors and on their directions they lodged a complaint at Huzurngar police station against Cahier Gangadara Ramakrishna.
