Vikarabad: The number of voters in the district has considerably increased when compared to that last year. As many as 29,145 voters have been added this time. The State Election Commission released the voter list in view of early polls. As many as 9,415 voters are added in Tandur, 7,986 voters in Parigi, 8,361 voters in Kodangal and 3,403 voters in Vikarabad.
As many as 8,26,786 voters are in final list in four constituencies of the district in which 4,14,717 are men and 4,11,682 are women apart from 61 transgender voters. As per the final list, 2,26,072 voters are there in Parigi constituency in which 1,15,450 are male and 1,10,460 are female. There are 2,03,520 voters in which 1,03,190 are men and 1,00,267 are women in Vikarabad constituency. Out of 1,99,755 voters in Tandur constituency, 97,746 are male and 1,01,969 are women. In Kodangal, 98,331 are men and 98,986 are women out of total 1,97,439 voters.
The number of male voters is more in Parigi and Vikarabad constituencies and female voters are more in Tandur, Kodangal constituencies. The latest voters list will be available at polling booths. Several discrepancies in the list were corrected. Officials appealed to the public to bring to their notice if there are any issues related to the list so that the amendments can be done.
