Peddamul: Mandal president for Ayyappa Seva Samithi Gouri Shankar on Wednesday appealed to the Supreme Court to re-examine the ruling on women’s entry into Sri Ayyappa Swamy Temple at Sabarimala in Kerala.

Addressing the media here at Hanuman temple, he said that barring the entry to woman devotees of the age group between 15 and 50, is a centuries-old tradition.

He also clarified that he has respect toward women, who play a major role in the survival of the mankind. Seva samithi members Ashok, Karanam Srinivas, Akhil were present.
