Cops pay rich tributes to martyred policemen in Mahbubnagar
Marking the Police Commemoration Day, police personnel from various police stations in erstwhile Mahbubnagar district grandly celebrated it by holding rallies and blood donations camps across the district on Sunday
Mahbubnagar: Marking the Police Commemoration Day, police personnel from various police stations in erstwhile Mahbubnagar district grandly celebrated it by holding rallies and blood donations camps across the district on Sunday.
To begin with the police Commemoration Day, celebrations were held in the district amidst observing 2 minutes silence and later followed by police march past at district police parade ground and later followed by a huge rally to the Amaraveera Stupam.
Later Mahabubnagar Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari garlanded the statue of police personnel who laid down their lives during discharging their duties. Speaking on the occasion, Rema Rajeshwari said, “among all the departments, the Police department is the one which is sincerely working for keeping peace and safety of the people in society. Today it is time to pay tributes to all the martyred who laid down their lives while discharging their duties.”
“Not just police, it is also the responsibility of each and every citizen to whole heartedly support the police so that a peaceful society is established,” he added. In Jogulamba Gadwal district the Armed Reserved Police officials paid their tributes to the martyrs at the Amaraveerula Stupam and offered their salute.
Later, Gadwal SP Laxmi Nayak inaugurated a blood donation camp held at the office of Armed Reserved Police in the district. In Kalwakurthy of Nagarkurnool district Deputy Superintendent of Police Puspagiri Kumar inaugurated a blood donation camp, where large number of people along with police personnel donated blood. Police sub inspectors Veerabab, Balakrishna, Pradeep and Krishnaiah took part in the programme. Harikanth Reddy, Lions Club president, of Amangal was also present.
Similarly, the police personnel in Wanparthy district also observed Police Commemoration Day and observed two minutes silence. Later blood donation camps were also organized in various police stations in Pebbair and Kottakota mandals of the district.
