Sircilla: Make all necessary arrangements at polling stations for disabled persons enabling them to use their right to vote without any problems, ordered District Election Officer Venkataram Reddy.

In a statement released here on Thursday, he said that as per the voters list announced on October 12, there are 4,412 disabled voters in the district and arrangements will be made for them at polling station for their convenience as per the orders issued by the Election Commission of India.

Election Officer Venkataram Reddy said the following arrangements will be made at the polling station for the disabled persons:
1. The rooms will be arranged in the ground floor at all polling stations.
2. Tri-cycles and wheel chairs will be kept ready along with drinking water and toilet facilities.
3. Disabled, old age people and pregnant women can enter the polling room directly without standing in queue.
4. Special care for voters, who are dumb and hearing impaired.
5. Arranging party symbols in Braille language for the visually impaired voters by arranging Electronic Voting Machines and other facilities.
Reddy urged the disabled to use their right to vote and save democracy by electing suitable candidate.
