Vikarabad: District Collector Syed Umar Jaleel directed the officials concerned to effectively carry out the election duties allotted to them for the smooth conduct of polls. He was reviewing the arrangements of election with the officials including those in flying squad, survival team etc., here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector called for all steps to contain the illegal liquor and money.
He instructed the officials to file cases against the parties who conduct meetings and rallies without prior permission. The Superintendent of Police T Annapurna said that any complaints received should be brought to the notice of Collector or Returning Officers immediately. Apart from beefing up security at check-posts, sue moto cases should be filed against poll code violations, she instructed.
