Musheerabad: The Congress Party on Friday staged protest against corruption in Rafale deal at Dharna Chowk for the first time after the recent ruling lifting ban on protests there. Speaking on the occasion, senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao alleged that the Modi government was involved in the Rs 30,000-crore scam in the Rafale deal. Handing over the project to inexperienced Anil Ambani itself reeks of large-scale corruption, he said.

Accusing caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) of double standards, he said that KCR addressed their leader Sonia Gandhi ‘madam’ and ‘amma’ before the formation of the state, but after coming to power he began calling her as ‘Sonia.’ He lambasted Minister K Taraka Rama Rao for referring their leader in abusive terms. Referring to the recent comment of KTR retiring from politics if not voted to power, he ridiculed that most of KCR’s promises, including making a dalit CM of the state, remained unfulfilled.
