Narsampet (Warangal Rural): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Working President A Revanth Reddy said Telangana was carved out due to the sacrifices of the students and not because of the TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao. Addressing a gathering here on Thursday, he criticised KCR for not visiting Secretariat for not even once during his four-year regime.
“KCR needs to answer why he had dissolved the Assembly and why he had necessitated elections nine months ahead of the schedule,” Reddy said. It’s ridiculous to say that separate Telangana was achieved due to KCR’s efforts, he added.
Further he accused KCR of not focusing on agrarian crisis that led to a spate of farmers’ suicides in the State. Moreover, KCR never bothered to console the families of those, who committed suicides, he alleged.
“The TRS government totally failed to fulfill the aspirations of people in the region,” Reddy said, referring to the KCR’s promises such as constructing double bedroom houses to poor and providing jobs to the youth. He appealed to people to vote for Narsampet Congress candidate Donthi Madhava Reddy.
