Tandur: Welfare of the downtrodden was the prime priority of Congress Party, said the candidate of People’s Front, Rohith Reddy, during an election campaign in Peddemul, Omla Naik Thanda, Jiram Thanda, Rachakatta Thanda on Sunday. Rohit said ‘Indiramma Raj’ would come if Congress was voted to power.
Congress was the only party which strives for the upliftment of all sections of society, he said, adding that, people were going to teach a lesson for the TRS candidate, who did not focus on development of the constituency even though he held a portfolio in the cabinet. Rohith criticised the TRS party for neglecting the thandas. PCC delegate Dhara Singh, mandal president Narayana Reddy, MPTC Vidyasagar, Prakash Reddy, Naresh Reddy, Gopalkrishna, Shobharani, Babu Singh, Shivarama, Shrikant Reddy and others were present.
