Kondapur: The city is to witness a rare dog show and as a precursor, a curtain raiser was held at the GHMC Dog Park here on Monday. A three-day pet expo is to be held in the city from Dec 28-30. The conference would feature canines of all-breed shows, obedience trials, knowledge & training seminars and an exclusive game zone for the dogs.
Dr Praveen Kumar of canine clinic spoke on the health and hygiene of the pets. Adil Alam Khan, treasurer, HCC, educated the gathering on the procedures followed and preparing their pets for the show. The audience witnessed gripping demonstrations of the dog obedience, agility, attack and protection under the supervision of RS Sugandhar.
Ajai Dhavala, member of HCC, said that to educate people, dog shows were being organised. The event ended with all the pets in the park participating in fun games like musical mats, hide & seek, temptation street etc. “We come here regularly, while the park is awesome the weekend pet games and training sessions add icing on the cake. We thank GHMC for the beautifully built park and commando kennels for training and fun sessions,” said a regular visitor to the park, Afzal Malik.
