Nagarkurnool: In a tragic road accident, two persons were killed while two others were severely injured on Srisailam National Highway at Cherukur Gate in Veldanda mandal of Nagarkurnool district on Tuesday. According to police, the accident occurred during early morning when a speeding car rammed into a tree.
The car driver might have lost control due to drowsiness. Out of 4 occupants of the car, two of them, including the car driver and another person sitting beside him died on the spot due to severe head injuries, while two others who were sitting on the back side were severely injured and were shifted to Kalwakurthy government hospital for treatment. The police have shifted the bodies of the dead to the government hospital for post mortem.
