Abids: The distribution of Bathukamma sarees, which was kept pending as model election code came into effect, resumed with the formation of Telangana government on Wednesday. Gunfoundry corporator Mamatha Santhosh Gupta distributed sarees to beneficiaries at Koti and Islamia Bazar on Wednesday.
She said that the sarees, which could not be distributed to beneficiaries during Dasara festival due to election code, are being distributed on the eve of Sankrathi festival. TRS leaders Raju, Swapna, Kiran, Sai and others were present on the occasion.
