Mahbubnagar: The aesthetically decked up Mayuri Eco-Tourism Park in the city is beckoning people for the New Year celebrations. The officials from Tourism and Forest departments have tastefully decorated, repaired and installed new equipments for the entertainment of the visitors in the New Year.
The park managers are expecting that during the New Year, youth, children and parents and tourists from across the district and even from faraway places like Hyderabad and other surrounding districts would visit the park. “Usually during the vacation and holidays we witness about 25-30,000 visitors in the park. Similarly, during the New Year we are expecting more than 50,000 visitors.
This time, to attract more visitors during the New Year celebrations, we have made all arrangements ready and beautified the park,” said Forest Range Officer Amender. Earlier, the state government had given utmost importance for the development of Mayuri Park and allocated the necessary funds. With the pro-active efforts of local MLA Srinivas Goud, the park was developed into a full-fledged eco-tourism park and is attracting visitors of all ages.
For children, the park is having a special play zone with swings, sliders, rotators and other recreational items for children. For the elders and youth, there is adventure zones where they can do rope sliding in the air and also air cycling and even take part in the jungle trekking and hill climbing. For youth, who are enthusiastic to do shooting, the park authorities have also set up a rifle and arrow shooting centres. For the old age people, there is a yoga centre where they can spend their time in peace doing yoga.
There are two high top view points, where the visitors can have a view of entire forest area of the Bontagutta forest range. Of late, the forest officials connected the Mayuri Park with Mission Bhagiratha water pipeline and even are constructing a musical fountain and a swimming pool for the visitors.
The latest development in the park is the setting up of a water fall from the rocky mountain, which is the highlight of all the recreations in the park. Overall the visitors during this New Year can enjoy with full contempt in the Mayuri Park and make it a memorable trip to end their year with Joy.
