Mahbubnagar: A speeding bus plough into a herd of goats and crushed 9 of them under its tyres killing them on the spot at Mannapur village of Maddur mandal in Mahbubnagar district on Wednesday.
According to eye witnesses, a speeding Palle Velugu Road Transport Corporation bus of Mahbubnagar depot running from Mahbubnagar to Maddur rammed into the herd of goats moving on the road and crushed 9 goats killing them on the spot.
The owner of the goats, Golla Ramanna along with his family demanded action against the bus driver for neglect driving.
It is assessed the poor man had lost more than Rs 50,000 worth of goats and demanded compensation. The Maddur police have registered a case against the bus driver and investigating the matter.
