It was in Karimnagr district in 2001 that KCR had launched the party at a massive public meeting ‘Simha Garjana’. The TRS contested for the first time in 2004 when the movement is at a peak stage and some of the leaders, who joined KCR from Karimnagar district in separate Telangana movement, proved their loyalty be being with their leader and continuously won in their respective constituencies without fail till date and are creating records.
Among them, former Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar and Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar had made double hat-trick by winning six consecutive times from their respective constituencies Huzurabad and Dharmapuri and created history in the political arena of Karimnagar district.
Former IT Minister and son of TRS chief KT Rama Rao, who entered the political battle in 2009 from Sircilla Assembly segment, had won four consecutive times and created history.
In the same way, Chennamaneni Ramesh from Vemulwada Assembly segment and Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao from Korutla also won four times without fail till the last Assembly elections held in December and Gangula Kamalakar from Karimnagar Assembly constituency made hat-trick by winning three times and created a record.
It is to be noted that Eatala Rajendar from BC category and KT Rama Rao from forward caste category were ministers in KCR’s cabinet in the previous government and their berths would be confirmed this time too in the new TRS government, which may be formed very soon.
Meanwhile, the other leaders, who proved their loyalties towards the TRS, are also aspiring ministry this time in the new cabinet. Among them, Koppula Eshwar from SC category, who was government Chief Whip in the previous government and won the elections for six consecutive times from Dharmapur Assembly segment, is in the first place in the race.
Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar, who won four times, is eyeing the TSRTC Chairman post as Somarapu Satyanarayana, the former TSRTC chairman, had been defeated in the recent elections. Chennamneni Ramesh and Gangula Kamalakar along with Dasari Manohar Reddy are also expecting a berth in the new government.
Husnabad MLA-elect Vodithala Satish Kumar, son of Captain Laxmikantha Rao and close associate of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, is also in the race to get a berth in the cabinet. Satish Kumar belongs to Brahmin community, who won the elections with the second highest margin of 70,530 votes defeating CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, next to KT Rama Rao. He is one of the highly educated among the MLAs, elected in the recent elections.
Moreover, Husnabad proved to be lucky for KCR and the TRS, who started election campaign with Praja Ashirwada Sabha from Husnabad and won with a bumper majority in the recently held Assembly elections.
It is to be noted here that former IT Minister KT Rama Rao created a history by winning with a very big margin of around 89,009 votes from Sircilla Assembly segment against Congress candidate K Mahendar Reddy in the united Karimnagar district. Whereas Koppula Eshwar contesting from Dharmapuri Assembly segment won with a least margin of just around 441 votes against Congress candidate Adluri Laxman Rao.
