Bad, bumpy roads irk commuters in LB Nagar

LB Nagar: Bad roads and traffic problems are interlinked. Bad roads in LB Nagar are causing inconvenience to public. Kranthi Nagar: “Roads are terrible here. We informed officials about the issue many times, but no one is coming forward to repair the roads. We are not able to travel safe especially during the night,” said Radhika, a daily commuter.

Gayatri Nagar: “This road is used by many commuters. Even RTC buses also pass through this road which is in a very bad state of condition. Water gets accumulated on the road because of the potholes and damaged road surface. Adding to this, people throw garbage openly on roadside. The disposed of garbage chokes the water drainage channels creating polluted stagnant water pools emitting foul smell. GHMC officials should take a call and collect garbage regularly and should repair roads as soon as possible,” said Adarsh, a student.

Karmanghat: “Because of the bad condition of the road we are forced to take an alternate route that takes longer journey time. Bad roads and accumulation of water on the road are the two major problems. Residents of houses located next to the road direct the overflow pipe of the overhead tank to the road due to which daily the overflowed water gets accumulated on the road,” said Yeshaswin, an employee.
