Hyderabad: Congress leader Vijayasanti said people of the two Telugu states are in a dilemma in understanding the definition given by TRS leader KT Rama Rao regarding the Federal Front after meeting the YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Vijayasanti, who quit the TRS due to differences with K Chandrashekar Rao, in a statement on Thursday, recalled that the TRS leaders had abused the people of Andhra Pradesh during Telangana agitation.
“Now how could the people of same Andhra Pradesh expect TRS to write a letter to the Union government asking to accord a Special Category Status to the AP,” she wondered.
Reminding that Congress had announced that the first signature would be on file granting Special Category Status to AP if it was voted to power at the Centre in 2019 general elections, she said TRS was completely ignoring the assurance given by the Congress on the SCS to Andhra Pradesh.
