Bus-lorry collision leaves four injured
Four people suffered grievous injuries when the RTC bus they were travelling in was hit by a lorry at Konijerla Sagar Canal in Khammam district on Thursday morning
Khammam: Four people suffered grievous injuries when the RTC bus they were travelling in was hit by a lorry at Konijerla Sagar Canal in Khammam district.
The impact of the collision was such that the bus was turned on its side, while the front part of the lorry was severely damaged. According to sources, the RTC bus carrying around 15 passengers was heading towards Madhira from Khammam. When the bus reached the Konijerla Sagar Canal it was hit by a speeding lorry.
In the incident, four of the 15 passengers were badly hurt. Locals immediately called the 108 ambulance, where the staff of ambulance service rushed to the spot and provided first aid to the victims.
While several felt that accident could have occurred due to poor visibility of road due to the presence of fog, local police informed that over speeding of the lorry led to the accident. They registered a case and took up the investigation.
