Security officer from city gets invite for 8th time
Mohd Saleem, a security officer from Hyderabad is 8th time lucky to get invitation for the Republic Day parade celebrations at Rajpath in Delhi With 26th January here again, a celebration of sovereignty, secularity and of a Republic being the largest and most flourishing democracy in the world, everybody is glued to TV to watch the parade
Hyderabad: Mohd Saleem, a security officer from Hyderabad is 8th time lucky to get invitation for the Republic Day parade celebrations at Rajpath in Delhi. With 26th January here again, a celebration of sovereignty, secularity and of a Republic being the largest and most flourishing democracy in the world, everybody is glued to TV to watch the parade.
However, for Mohd Saleem,a native of Hyderabad, this is the 8th time he has been invited to the RD celebrations at Delhi, because of his shining service in the security field. He has served as a security personnel for former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam, and is currently serving in the security wing of Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu. Earlier for 7 times, he visited the RD celebrations with his family, but this time he is visiting alone.
Mohd Saleem says, “Watching the Republic Day parade live from Rajpath in New Delhi is a thrilling experience. As a citizen of India, I am proud to talk about it — India’s outstanding diversity in religions, languages and cultures is unique and unmatched.”“I am proud that I am born here, and I shall serve my country till my last breath.” Saleem added.
