Hanamkonda: Mention the name of Linga Kedari Food Court, your mouth would be watered with the taste of delicious items served at the food court located near the district court.

The restaurant’s owner Lingala Kedari, who started making a living with a ordinary roadside eatery near Subedari Post Office in 1993, has become famous for food items made of besan such as mirchi bajji. But what made his name spread across the city and later to other parts of the region was his invention China gare.

A decade later, he opened a hotel christened as Lingala Kedari Food Court adjacent to Warangal District Court. Kedari who never compromised on quality of food continued his business unopposed in the Adalat Junction much to the envy of others.

Kedari, who knows the value of food grains right from his childhood has always condemned wasting of food. To keep a tab on wastage of food, he sometime ago introduced a policy that imposes a fine on customer if he wastes food.

Speaking to The Hans India, 50-year-old Lingala Kedari said: “Why one should waste it when I am dishing out a delicious food. It’s unpardonable. The meals we offer at a most affordable price should not be wasted. I am not one who would allow customers go scot free after wasting food in my hotel.”

Be it at your home or elsewhere, eat as much as you can but don’t waste even a rice grain. One should remember, ‘every grain of rice is a drop of sweat from a farmer’s brow,’ he said. It may be mentioned here that he charges Rs 60 for a meal and returns Rs 10 if the customer eats it completely. It’s difficult to find a hotel that offers the kind of meals offered by the Kedari Food Court at Rs 50 in the tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet.

Further, Kedari contends with the customers that they are unwelcome to his hotel if they do not comply with his rule. It’s no exaggeration to say that the food court’s menu that ranges from vegetarian to non-vegetarian has its customers mouthwatering items since past 26 years.

Kedari, who built loyal customer base, is assisted by his wife and two sons. His participation in the Telangana Movement was also exemplary as he always served food free of cost to those participated in the agitation.

Puli Satyam, a senior advocate, said: “The food court has become famous owing to its quality and quantity especially for those visiting to district court from far flung places and for the lawyers as well.”
