Feed the Need drive getting great response
Hyderabad: The ‘Feed the Need’ programme, which was recently launched with the objective of providing food to the needy, has been receiving huge response from hotels, voluntary organisations and individuals. On Tuesday, various organizations came forward to provide 40,000 food packets. This was in response to an appeal made by GHMC commissioner Dana Kishore and EPTRI director general Kalyan Chakravarthy to hotel owners and voluntary organizations to come forward and contribute to the programme in a meeting held on Monday.
GHMC is planning to provide food to the needy on February 14. According to various surveys, about 20 per cent of total people are not getting proper food.
