Quthbullapur: Activists of Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) youth wing of Quthbullapur constituency, under the leadership of president Rajesh, went on a hunger strike in front of the Collector’s office demanding a degree college. Later they submitted a representation to DRO Vijaya Kumari.The representation pointed out that students belonging to poor families were suffering because of lack of a degree college.
They were unable to pay high fees in private educational institutions and continue their studies. It appealed to the DRO to take the issue to the State government’s notice and set up the degree college at the earliest. The activists urged the government to fill the vacant posts of lecturers in junior colleges. Among those who went on fast were mandal unit president Vijay, coordinator Abhilash Reddy and Vikas.
