Papireddynagar: Maha Shivaratri festival was celebrated on a grand scale at Sri Veeranjaneya-Shiva Temple here on Monday, under the supervision of former general secretary of Papireddynagar Welfare Association C Sridhar Reddy.
A large number of devotees thronged the temple right from early hours on Monday. The devotees offered ‘Abhishekam,’ ‘Archana’ and special pooja to the presiding deity and received his blessings. Serpentine queues are being formed on the temple premises. The temple officials said that they have made all the necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees. They also distributed prasadam to them.
Among those present were former treasurer of Papireddynagar Welfare Association Maya Rajayya, Temple Committee chairman Ramakrishna Reddy, general secretary Prabhakar, treasurer Singireddy Bhupal Reddy, Molugu Kiran Kumar, Marella Srinivas, Venkatesh Chary, Eereddy Narsi Reddy, Vavilla Buggayya , Eereddy Devender Reddy, Lakshman Mestri, Satyanarayana Goud, Ramu, Venkateswar Reddy, Lakshmamma Yadav, Bhulakshmi, Mallika, Kalpana, besides many devotees.
