His performance in films - Magadheera, Nuvvosthanante nenoddantana and Dhee received rave reviews. The actor has 100 films to his credit in a career spanning 20 years. The actor is best remembered for his character roles. He won Nandi and filmfare awards for playing Trisha's brother in Nuvvosthanante Nenoddhantana.
His last outing Toofan with Ram Charan as Sher Khan got critical acclaim. The actor was married to popular South Indian actress Disco Shanti. The actor is survived by two sons.
Of late, Srihari had an inclination to enter politics. There were also reports that he would be representing Congress party.
