Claims it got some info and will call him again if needed kvp2Hyderabad: CBI on Saturday questioned Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao for more than eight hours in connection with the disproportionate assets case registered against Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.A Rao had been the close aide of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and was known for his role as the adviser to the YSR government. He arrived at Dilkusha Guest House around 11 am and was questioned till 7.30 pm. One of his relatives, identified as Krishna Mohan, was also reportedly questioned in the presence of Rao. Sources say Krishna Mohan also had some say in the matters into which the CBI had been probing. Both were made to sit face to face and questions were posed by the investigating authorities. Speaking to the media after coming out of the guest house, Rao said the probe agency called him for questioning under section 160 CrPC. This section empowers any police officer, making an investigation, to call for the attendance before himself of any person acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case. "The CBI officials sought some clarification in some issues and I provided whatever information I had with me," he said.A CBI Joint Director V V Lakshminarayana said Rao was called for questioning under section 160 CrPC. "We have received some information. We will summon him again for questioning, if necessary," he said.
