trs1Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will move the no confidence motion during the budget session of the State Legislative Assembly targeting Kiran Kumar Reddy government. A decision to this effect was taken at the TRS Legislature Party meeting held at the Telangana Bhavan on Monday. Detailing on the proceedings, TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao said that his party sought the support of the opposition parties on the issue. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Nagam Janardhan Reddy of Telangana Nagara Samithi have assured the TRS of their support, CPI, CPI (M), MIM and Lok Satta have sought some time saying that they would respond only after discussing the issue within their party forums. He further stated that even the Telugu Desam and YSRCP would be consulted if required. "The no-confidence motion would expose the true colours of the opposition parties," Chandrasekhar Rao observed.

Slamming the Congress for deceiving the people of Telangana for the past ten years on the statehood demand, KCR said that his party would corner the State government in the budget session. "Congress is least bothered despite the loss of thousands lives for the cause," rued the TRS chief. He pointed out that his party would insist on moving the separate state resolution for Telangana in the House. He added that the government had failed on all fronts in addressing the public issues in the State. Commenting on the power cuts, he flayed the administration for its failure to supply the scheduled seven hours of power to the Telangana region. "In fact, only five hours of power is being supplied, which is seriously affecting the agriculture sector," he said, adding, "Government is not making any serious effort although there is scope for buying power from the neighbouring states." TRSLP moved resolutions for 7-hour power supply to Telangana farmers, withdrawal of VAT on textile trade and reducing the tenure of the tenth PRC from one and half years to six months. Commenting on the Sadak Bandh slated for March 21, he said that the TRSLP has vowed to make it a huge success. He informed that the party floor leader in the Assembly, Etela Rajender was assigned the responsibility of coordinating the party leaders and activists for the programme.
