22-year-old graduate seeks help for transplantation th2Visakhapatnam: A young man of 22, born with one kidney, is struggling to get medical treatment for failure of the lone kidney to stay alive. Born to a poor couple in Rudrapur village in Kothagudem mandal of Khammam district, Pushpakalakar completed his degree. He was admitted in Singareni hospital in 2010 after falling seriously ill. The doctors there found that he was born with a single kidney and that the lone kidney was not functioning properly. The Doctors advised him to go to Hyderabad and get proper treatment in the NIMS. The NIMS doctors made it clear that only solution to his problem was to transplant the kidney. His parents who eke out a living by doing odd jobs were not in a position to bear the huge expenses. His parents are now living in Visakhapatnam and putting him on dialysis twice a week in the Seven Hills hospital. He is waiting for some philanthropists to donate money to get the kidney transplantation. A His father Mattaparthy Ramlakshman is living in a rented house in Kummari Veedhi opposite Daspalla Hotel in Visakhapatnam. He can be reached on mobile No: 9032475911.
