Visakhapatnam: The whirlwind tour in the name of Samaikya Sankharavam of YSRCP leader Sharmila in the city was a roaring success. She came down heavily on the Congress party for slicing the State into two pieces and said it was done to facilitate Rahul Gandhi’s ascendance in the coming general election.
The Congress did not hesitate to do injustice to crores of Seemandhra people by dividing the State for its political gain. “We will be left with no water even to drink, leave alone water for irrigation,” she said. “It took 60 years to develop Hyderabad and they now ask us to develop a new capital in 10 years. How is it possible?” she questioned.
The Congress Party is digging its own grave, she said and added that the people were the best judges and they would teach them a lesson. The Seemandhra Congress leaders are in no position to visit their native districts fearing backlash from the people, she said.
She also hit out at Chandrababu Naidu stating that he was making a ‘trip’ to Delhi to stall Jaganmohan Reddy from getting a bail. She alleged that the TDP is in ‘secret pact’ with the Congress Party to snub Jagan. Sharmila’s Bus Yatra entered the city from Nakkapalli via Gajuwaka, NAD Junction, Gurudwara Junction and ended up in a public meeting at the Jagadamba Junction. She left for Vizianagaram district en route Bhimili and Anandapuram.
