Karimnagar: The Karimnagar division and rural police have nabbed four vehicle lifters at two different places here on Friday and recovered 20 two wheelers from their possession. Police Commissioner V B Kamalasan Reddy gave the details of the two incidents.

During regular vehicle checking at Manair bridge, the police stopped three persons coming on a bike and asked them about their details. The police arrested the three when they failed to give proper answer.

During interrogation, it was revealed that the three have been lifting the vehicles since one year in and around Karimnagar, Warangal, Hyderabad and Adilabad districts.

The culprits were identified as Turpati Srinivas (32) and Gandam Ramesh (32), residents of Narayanaraopalle of Sulthanabad mandal and Alli Sagar of Jawaharnagar colony of Karimnagar.

The Police officials recovered 15 two-wheelers from their possession.In another incident during vehicle check at Theegalaguttapally on the outskirts of the city, Karimnagar rural police arrested a vehicle lifter, who was identified as Juta Shiva alias Srinivas (26), resident of Chandoli village of Gollapalli mandal of Jagtial district. Five two-wheelers were recovered from his possession.

Addittional Commissioner of Police T Annapurna, Assistant Commissioner of Police J Rama Rao, Karimnagar Rural CI Krishna Goud, SIs Kiran, Krishna Reddy, Koteshwar, C H Sagar and Yellaiah Goud were present along with others.
