Warangal: In what is termed as a dramatic chase, the Police traced out two 16-year-old girls of Dharmasagar mandal, studying Intermediate first year, who went missing four days ago.

The girls, who set off for their college on the morning of November 28 did not return to their houses. They went to Baroda in a train. A couple of days after, the girls spoke to their parents over a mobile phone and informed them that they were kidnapped by unknown persons.

Finding that the call was activated from Baroda, Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu dispatched a team headed by Inspector P Kishan to locate the girls. The investigation team found that girls were alighted in Baroda railway station and used a traveler’s mobile phone to speak to their parents.

The Commissioner, who spoke to railway police in Baroda, made the CCTV footage available for the investigation team. The team found that girls boarded a train on platform number 2. Based on the alert issued by the authorities, the Pune Police found both girls in the general compartment of Rajkot Express.

The police also used social networking platform - Twitter seeking the assistance of the Railway Ministry and the people in general. “Both the girls virtually played a hide and seek game with their parents and police having a free run across Gujarat and Maharashtra,” Sudheer Babu said.
