A biology teacher and an environmental activist Gundeti Yogeshwar on Tuesday received the Best Teacher award from Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu at a programme held in Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

Mancherial: A biology teacher and an environmental activist Gundeti Yogeshwar on Tuesday received the Best Teacher award from Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu at a programme held in Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

A postgraduate in biology and education, Yogeswar, commenced his career in 1987 at Government Boys High School at Ramakrishnapur.

He hails from Chennur in the district. He participated in many workshops and seminars on environment and conducted many seminars at district-level. He is a member of the district core committee on environment.

Speaking to The Hans India from Delhi, he said that receiving award from M Venkaiah Naidu will remain evergreen in his memory. He said that he is deeply indebted to all those who supported and encouraged him in securing the award.
