Hanamkonda: Riding high on its success in the previous edition of Sumarg, a free coaching programme to youths appearing for the competitive exams, the Warangal Police Commissionerate has on Friday launched the edition-II. As part of it, the Commissionerate made arrangements to provide free coaching classes by subject experts to about 250 unemployed youths.
The police conducted a prelims exam before shortlisting 250 aspirants. The shortlisted aspirants will be given 45-day module coaching for the competitive exams such as police recruitment and other exams conducted by the TSPSC.
Commencing the classes, the Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu said: “It was an effort to help the less fortunate those who can’t afford coaching. Of the 220, who availed coaching in Sumarg-I programme, a whopping 141 youths got jobs early this year.”
Like the last time, we are engaging subjects from Hyderabad to provide the best to the aspirants, he said, exhorting that the onus is on the youths to make use of the programme. DCPs Venkat Reddy, Venkateshwarlu, additional DCPs Ashok Kumar, Pooja and Muralidhar were among others present.
