Warangal: The filing of nominations by candidates contesting for GWMC 44th ward by-poll has begun on Wednesday.
An independent candidate, Banka Rakesh Yadav has filed his nomination papers at the GWMC office in Warangal, informed Returning Officer Karunakar. December 29 is the last date for filing nominations.
The scrutiny of nominations will take place on December 30 and December 31 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
The polling will be conducted on January 9 between 7 am and 5 pm and the counting and declaration of result would be held on January 11, he said.
