District Joint-Collector D Amay Kumar on Thursday directed the officials of various wings to submit a detailed report of the works to be taken up for the development of Medaram and adjoining villages.

The J-C, in a meeting with the ITDA officials, said that government is keen to develop infrastructure and amenities in and around Medaram on a permanent basis so that to ensure a hassle free darshan of the deities to the devotees.

“The government needs proposals to ensure amenities such as roads, drinking water, bathing ghats, health centres, bus shelter, shopping complexes etc. in core and non-core areas around Medaram, hence the officials need to identify them in a couple of days,” Amay Kumar said.

ITDA Project Officer V Chakradhar Rao, Zilla Parishad CEO Vijayagopal, District Revenue Officer P Mohan Lal, Panchayat Officer Chandramouli and Transco SE Sunil were among others present.
