Warangal: The Seemandhra leaders supported by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and DGP Dinesh Reddy were conspiring to create law and order problem in the State to thwart the creation of Telangana, alleged the TRS leaders. TRS leader Kadiam Srihari, MLAs D Vinay Bhasker, Dr T Rajaiah and M Biskshapathi, district president T Ravinder Rao, leaders P Sudharshan Reddy and K Rajaiah Yadav strongly condemned the attack on Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao in Tirupati on Saturday.
They said that attacks on the Telangana leaders and employees in Andhra were aimed at delaying the formation of Telangana. Speaking to the media here on Saturday, TRS leader Srihari alleged that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar joined hands to create simulated movement opposing Telangana formation.
He demanded TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to condemn the attacks on the Telangana leaders and employees by Seemandhra activists. The Seemandhra leaders though fully aware that creation of Telangana was imminent they are exerting pressure on the Centre and Telangana leaders with an intention to have an upper hand while sharing river waters and others, he opined.
He wanted the Telangana Congress leaders to be alert to work to protect the interests of the region. The Congress men should stop useless victory rallies and focus on the dangers to be caused by Seemandhra agitations.
Srihari refuted the remarks made by TDP leader Revuri Prakash Reddy that the Congress and TRS have not yet arrived at a deal on the merger of TRS with the Congress and that was why the creation of Telangana was delayed.
“The TDP leader’s remarks indicated his bankrupt mind. Several surveys indicated that the TRS was going to win a majority of parliament seats in the ensuing polls while the Congress was set to eat a humble pie. Therefore, how could the TRS merge with Congress,” he questioned.
