Warangal: Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof. B Venkata Ratnam called upon the students use eco-friendly products.
Addressing a two-day seminar on ‘Green Marketing’ sponsored by AICTE at Alluri Institute of Management Sciences (AIMS) here on Sunday, he said that the people should come forward to take part in the green marketing initiative to protect the environs.
“The state and central governments should come up with special zones like SGZ (Special Green Zones) in order to promote green ideas and technology. Green Marketing is a very big concept and needs extensive campaign to promote it for the benefit of the future,” said Prof P Krishnama Chary of the University. He lauded efforts of Alluri Institute in conducting the seminar that benefits the student and faculty as well. He also appealed the people to adopt eco-friendly means of living without depending on government agencies.
Life Insurance Corporation of India marketing manager Venkateshwarlu said every student should start adopting green concepts to make India Green. The president of AIMS Dr Banda Prakash, Professors G Sithamber Swamy, K Anil Kumar and KV Satya Prakash and coordinator Y Kishore kumar were present.
