Warangal: District Collector G Kishan has advised the officials and engineers concerned to strive to achieve the target set for the current year in the construction of Indiramma houses in the district. He held a review meeting with revenue divisional officials and Housing Corporation engineers at the Collectorate on Thursday. On the occasion, he exhorted officials to get first place in state in the completing the construction of Indiramma houses.
He asked them for fast and strict implementation of the scheme. Out of 4, 38, 184 houses sanctioned for the district, 2, 45, 287 houses were built so far. 59,629 Indiramma houses are at different stages of construction. For the current year, the target was to build 53, 000 houses but so far only 5542 houses were built. The engineers and other officials concerned should expedite the construction works, the Collector said. Beneficiaries were asked to report any issue on the houses to the toll free number 1800 425 2747. Sources informed that over 11,000 beneficiaries did not open the bank accounts so far to avail the government funding.
He directed the engineers, Tahsildars and MPDOs to divide their respective mandal into three ranges and inspect the construction activity. Mr Kishan also directed the RDOs to monitor issuing of possession certificates and title deeds to the beneficiaries. Additional joint collector Sanjeevaiah, housing scheme project director Laxman, tahsildars and engineers attended the meeting.
