Jangareddigudem (West Godavari): About 2,000 people took part in all-faith prayers for the State’s unity here. A tractor rally was organised. The protestors offered sari and bangles to Union Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao for being flexible to the division. ‘Pinda pradanam’ for KCR and Sonia was performed. People voluntarily took part in the agitation and raised slogans in favour of Samaikyandhra.

Chinnam for debateon T State

Nuzivid (Krishna): Nuzivid MLA Chinnam Ramakotaiah has favoured an extensive debate on Telangana State with leaders and intellectuals from all three regions of Andhra Pradesh as people of Seemandhra are objecting to the division. The time was not favourable for the division and any such decision should be taken by the party that comes to power in 2014 elections. Antony Committee should tour in Seemandhra and elicit the sentiments of people on sharing of water resources to avoid regional feelings from creeping into minds of Telugu people, he said.

Karate kid ‘kicks’ KCR

Palakol (West Godavari): In an innovative resentment, a Class II girl, Meghana, ‘kicked’ KCR for disturbing the unity of Telugu State. She exhibited her karate skills to kick KCR who was portrayed as dog in a flexi.

Non-resigning leaders cursed

Tadepalligudem (West Godavari): Protestors led by printers association cursed ministers, MPs and MLAs delaying resignations and performed ‘pinda pradanam’ to them at Police Island here. At dobhi ghat, the washer men pasted posters of Sonia, KCR and Digvijay Singh to the stones and washed clothes on them to register their protest.

Guntur-Macherla road blocked

Gurajala (Guntur): Supporters of YSR Congress Party burnt an effigy of KCR here. A rally was organised. They blocked Guntur-Macherla road and organised ‘Vanta-varpu’ protest.

Relay fasts in Narsapur

Narsapur: TDP activists, along with students went in a rally to the JAC relay fast camp in the town on Saturday and participated in relay fasts. A professor from a local college, Dr D Venkateswara Rao, has become the centre of attraction when he visited the camp in Krishna Devaraya attire and participated in the relay fast.

Dr C Satyanarayana Rao, TDP in-charge of Narasapur, Bommidi Nayakar, Dr Rajyalakshmi, Rayudu Sriramulu, Balam Pratap, Cherukuri Nageswara Rao among other leaders participated in relay fasts on Saturday. Narsapur MLA K Subba Rayudu, ex MLA M Prasada Raju, TDP district in-charge T Sita Rama lakshmi, MLC Angara Rammohana Rao and others visited the camp and extended their support to their cause.
Later, students participated in Telugu cultural songs and dances.
