Local regional centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Visakhapatnam, will soon open a study centre at the Dr B R Ambedkar University in Etcherla, Srikakulam district in addition to the study centre at the Government Women’s College in Srikakulam, informed Regional Director Dr S Raja Rao.
Speaking to reports in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, Dr Raja Rao said that the last date for the admission into masters, degree, post graduate diploma, diploma, certificate and awareness courses for the January, 2014 session has been extended up to January 15.
From January, 14 academic session, new courses including certificate course in Library Science, PG diploma in analytical chemistry and MSc in dietary science and management are being introduced, he informed.
The Director said the last date for receipt of applications for OPENMAT-XXXV entrance test for admission into various management courses is January 20 and the entrance test would be held on February 23 all over India. With regard to the eligibility, he said for general category, graduation in any discipline with 50 per cent of marks while it was 45 per cent for reserved category with three years supervisory experience and a professional degree with 50 per cent of marks for those professionals of engineering, medicine, ICAI, ICWAI and ICSI/Law.
